FITL

FITL (Fiber In The Loop) - światłowód w pętli abonenckiej, to sieć dostępowa, w której medium transmisyjnym jest włókno światłowodowe przenoszące informację w postaci zmodulowanej fali świetlnej. Na system dosępowy FITL składają się następujące 3 elementy: OLT <--> PON <--> ONU. OLT (Optical Line Termination) to zakończenie linii optycznej, PON (Passive Optical Network) to pasywna optyczna sieć dystrybucyjna, ONU (Optical Network Unit) to jednostka sieci optycznej. OLT podłączone jest do węzła sieci operatora usług. PON to sieć światłowodów i spliterów, rozprowadzających sygnał do abonentów podłączonych od strony ONU.
